When Palm Springs Unified School District Superintendent Tony Signoret was in college during the ’80s in Los Angeles, he saw Guns N’ Roses perform a concert before the iconic rock band signed a record contract. He was surprised last year during a cabinet meeting when he came across a proposal by the band’s former drummer Matt Sorum.

Adopt the Arts Foundation Announces Pilot Program, Brings Music Education and Resources to Elementary Schools in Coachella Valley
PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Aug. 12, 2024 – Elementary school students in Coachella Valley will kick off the 2024-2025 school year with more opportunities to learn and enhance their music education with the launch of a pilot program sponsored by Adopt the Arts Foundation in partnership with the Palm Springs Unified School District.
